Even when the fish are taking a break from biting I love being on the water enjoying the peace and beauty. Its hard to capture the true view that can be experianced on the water but I figured I would give it a shot. This is the water and sky reflection taken from the shallow side of the pit.

Taylor and I went for a walk to look at some geese from a distance while her grandpa was at an appointment. She really liked the yellow flowers so i snapped this pix of her infront of them because she wanted to see herself on my phone.

I set up my catfish rod with a bobber and hook to float next to the boat while I drifed and trolled. I wasnt really expecting to have much luck but it seemed like there were lots of bluegills that swarmed the boat. Good to remember when I can get the kids out with me. I am sure they will be able to catch a few bluegills.

Its not often multiple northern get caught in the same day fishing around here. They also seem to spook really easy by the boat breaking the waters surface. Ralph caught this northern casting a countdown near a downed tree branch. The northern seemed to hit within the first secconds of the lure going under the water.

Buffalo are slimey and yucky to get in the boat. I dont like their stinky slime getting on the carpet in my boat. I think from now on when a buffalo is hooked its going to be unhooked while still in the water.

A friend of mine sent me this picture of a walleye he caught. I wish they would start biting.

I rigged up a 3 way to fish for whitebass in the pit. After a couple casts this Norther Pike snapped up both my twisters and the fight was on. I landed him with one twister on each side of his mouth.
