Taylor sure was happy to get her picture taken. She could hardly stand still enough for my camera to take a picture that wasn’t blurry. After several attempts she finally stood still. The close up was fun she laughed at herself when she saw it on my camera.

Tonight after dinner I asked mom if she wanted to go for a little boat ride. I was hoping to just put it in the water run around for an hour or so then head back home.

We got the boat in the water with no problems. We got the boat all loaded up and ready to go out. Then after we got comfortable i tried and tried to start the dang thing. I tried everything i could to get it to run it just wouldnt fire up.

So after a long time of trying and trying and trying some more. We decided that we would just put it back on the trailer and figure out what is wrong with it in daylight. So I guess I will try to figure it out tomorrow and attempt to take mom on another boat ride soon.

I grilled up these rib eyes tonight. They tasted great and were very juicy and tender. Really cant beat a good steak cooked on the grill. Does anyone maybe have some steak grilling tips they would be willing to share on here. I think i can cook a pretty darn good steak but i am always interested in experimenting to try and find more unique flavors.

This hungry sucker was a lot of fun to bring in. It is bigger then most of the fish I have caught from the boat launch and with the strong current it is pretty difficult to reel in. I am hoping to hook into a game fish this size in the near future.

When my dad was sick we would talk everyday on the phone. sometimes I would be sitting on the back deck, I would always see this butterfly and I told Dad that I felt like it was Uncle Dick coming around to say hi. sometimes I would see 2 and  Dad said maybe it is Grandma Faherty and Uncle Dick letting me know they where together. I remember telling Dad they are probably getting ready to go fishing . And we laughed, Dad said oh your laughing makes me feel better. He then told me that some day he will come back and visit me as a Butterfly. well my dad does come and visits us as a Butterfly.. sometimes I even see 3 flying around together . In this picture you can see how this Butterfly is just sitting on Jims wrist next to the yellow band he wore in support of Dads cancer. To this day Jim still wears his yellow band.

I wanted to go fishing this morning but had some problems with my laptop. So i decided to work on that instead. I formatted it and reloaded the drivers and windows this morning. I didn’t feel like loading the rest of my software today so i saved that chore for another day.

After eating dinner I decided to try some night fishing. I went for a couple hours Didnt have too many bites but I was using red worms and I dont think they work so well at night. But they did catch me this Night Head and a really fun 8lb catfish. I wish the catfish picture would have turned out a little better I didnt realize how dark it was when i saved it.

It was alot different fishing from the boat launch at night. I think I will stick to fishing there during the day.

I grilled these chicken breast tonight. They turned out okay. Not quite as good as other times but still worthy of eating. I think next time i will BBQ them. They always turn out best BBQed.

Caught this White bass off the dock on friday. I was using a small red hook with a leader and one small weight. I let the current drag the line under the pier and gentally pulled the line and let it release. I think there were several of them under the pier biting but they were hard to keep hooked.

This Morning Jason Caught this little guy. There were way too many little sheepheads like this biting to catch much of anything else. I think we might go fishing again tomorrow. If we do i hope we can catch somthing a little better then these little Sheephead.
